Santa María de Guía

Santa María de Guía is a municipality located to the north of the island of Gran Canaria, whose historical center, restored not so long ago, has been declared Historical Monument- Artistic National since 1982. It is precisely its historic center that is worth visiting more closely, especially to admire its Parochial Church, neoclassical style and two slender side towers. Also located in the town center are other monumental buildings, such as the Casa de los Quintana, the one of Néstor Álamo, the Ermita de San Roque or the one of San Sebastián.

Outside the city center, we should not miss the visit to the Cenobio de Valerón, an archaeological site declared Good of Cultural Interest, and Tagoror del Gallego, dodne also found past remains. For the lover of the rest on the beach, you have to go to the coast to enjoy its three unique beaches, the one of San Felipe, the one of Roque Prieto and the one of La Caleta .
